I’m Fran Martin and I’m running for re-election to Caledonia Village Trustee seat #4

Who Am I?

I was first elected the Village Board in 2018, and I have been honored to be re-elected three times by the citizens of Caledonia. During that time, I’ve done my best to increase transparency ,regularly using social media to alert residents about matters affect our community.

I take seriously the responsibility of representing all residents, including individuals or groups directly affected by Village policies. Effective Board members must be willing to put in the time to understand issues before us—researching not only the matters formally before the Board, but also the everyday decisions that shape how our Village operates.

It’s both an asset and a challenge that Caledonia includes green spaces, fields, and pastures for which we’re known, the historic rural community of Franksville, the more urban area east of Douglas Avenue ,and commercial development along the I-94 corridor. Caledonia is unique in southeastern Wisconsin. and we are recognized nationally for the strong community we’ve built.

Thoughtful leadership is essential to balance these distinct areas while preserving what makes Caledonia special —ensuring that our families flourish, our businesses thrive and development is responsible and beneficial.

As a retired attorney with over 30 years of experience, along with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in science, I bring strong skills in research, investigation, and careful analysis. Village issues can be complex, and residents deserve leadership that is both trustworthy and understandable.

Let’s keep Caledonia our Caledonia—preserving our character, quality of life, and sense of community. We choose to live here because this is not a one size fits all kind of place. It’s special, and its worth protecting.

A proven leader.
